1. Creating your own portal for entering/receiving of shipment data

You want to set up a portal for entering of shipment data for small to medium-sized forwarders? No big deal!

• Select the corresponding feature in AX4 Open and generate a page for entering of shipment data.
• Choose the desired types of service and define the interactive arrays.
• Add your logo to the site and adjust the appearance according to your corporate design.
• Now you can create accounts for the forwarders who want to acquire shipments via your new portal. You can add (and delete) as many customers as you like.
• The acquired data is sent automatically to you via an interface in between the portal and your haulage firm‘s system. And you are on the air!

2. Here is how you develop your own tracking portal

You want to provide your costumers with tracking data via internet? Joined with a comfortable search feature? Using AX4 Open you can do so as well.

• The only pre-requisite is an interface between your system and our platform AX4 in order to transmit and receive shipment data and tracking information.
• As a second step you set up your tracking masks with an individual layout, overviews and search features.
• As an additional feature you are able to gather missing tracking data from the web, if the data received via the interface should not suffice.
• As described in 1. you can now set up access accounts for your customers who you want to share tracking data via web with. Now the customer can review „his“ tracking information.

With additional features links to PoD-Systems can be implemented. The design of the user interface and what additional features are available can be chosen freely. Naturally, the management of the masks and customer accounts lies with you. The tracking solution created with AX4 Open can be used for all carriers of traffic.

• To guarantee that nothing will go wrong you can test your solution in a demo environment before going live.

5. These are your usage options

Basically there are three different usage profiles for AX4 Open:

• With AX4 Admin User you can manage and adjust pre-existing solutions.
• With AX4 Designer User you can generate new solutions from scratch and manage others with AX4 Open User.
• With AX4 Slang you can even write your own scripts for the AX4 application.

When it comes to safety, cloud computing sets the standards. While other in-house server solutions are located behind a locked fireproof door, AX4 is being hosted in two high security datacenters. Comprehensive firewalls protect the application, the database, the AX4 software. How safe and sound our logistics platform actually is can be checked at trust.ax4.com. All the operation parameters concerned with availability are monitored live. Furthermore we are running three completely sovereign systems for test runs, demo use and live operation.
